JPL invites you to take part in a series of programs geared toward lifelong learning and skill building for adults. In this series, community professionals, expert DIY-ers, and enthusiastic hobbyists will provide opportunities to try new experiences, learn valuable techniques, and engage with fellow community members. The Skill Share Lending Library Series is for anyone and everyone - from those looking to save some green on that home project to the jack-of-all-trades hobbyist. All you need is a dash of passion for learning something new!
Ever wanted to create your own music or even just clap along to the beat without those awkward stares?
Join Assistant Librarian Stephanie for JPL's very own Drum Circle!
Stephanie will provide instruction on basic drumming techniques and introduce a few standard Western and African rhythms; the rest is up to you!
At the end of each session, you will have the opportunity to experiment with your own beats and become one with the music.
All supplies will be provided.
