Looking for a cozy space to read and connect with fellow book lovers? Join the Johnston and Grimes Public Libraries at Silent Book Club! Unlike traditional book clubs, there's no required reading, just bring whatever you’re currently enjoying. This is the perfect way to carve out time for your favorite books while joining a community of readers.
How it works:
- 6:30-7: Arrive, purchase a drink or snack if you'd like (options vary by venue), and settle in.
- 7-8: Enjoy an hour of uninterrupted quiet reading time.
- 8: Wrap up with optional conversation and soak up the bookish vibes.
Silent Book Club is open to everyone, whether you’re a lifelong book lover, a casual reader, or rediscovering the joy of reading after some time away.
Where we meet:
This group meets at local businesses in Johnston and Grimes. March's location is Zeke's Rooftop & Grill, 6201 Merle Hay Rd STE 110, Johnston, IA 50131.
